Spring is the perfect time for renewal, awakening…and party! We’ve some very nice new programs arriving to both gyms that I think you will all enjoy adding to your repertoire of classes that you take each month. And for those of you that still haven’t ventured into the main studio This is the time.
This month we’ve both Zumba and HIPHOP being added to the schedule. You might have heard of Zumba since it gets quite a little of press and a lot of publicity at fitness conferences. Two new, talented teachers will motivate you with Latin rhythms, lead you through easy-to-follow movements, and get those sides efficiently, shoulder blades and primary working up a sweat. That is a fitness-dance party like no other and is the workout that can make you love aerobics for the first time…or all over again.

Created by a fitness superstar in Columbia it offers since used the world by surprise. ProRobics will now interact with the fun…assured to make you want to move. For the ultimate dance challenge we have a new Hip Hop instructor joining our teaching team. This will be a genuine dance class, the real thing where you can master the full- body, bass-driven workout that is a talent in its own right. There isn’t an integral part of the body that won’t be challenged however the very good news is the break down so you learn moves slow, then take it up to the defeat.
Hip Hop is a fantastic way to learn the intricacies of modern dance, attitude, and expression. It’s young, it’s hip…and only requires a body that can go places while the mind enjoys the journey of learning. So spread the word to all of your friends! Along with the amazing classes we already have on the schedule ProRobics will be the place to hang and get exercise, this spring and summer!
I was devastated to not have the ability to breastfeed but the up aspect is that I can now deal with my PCOS and baby weight. So, let’s look at the action plan and just how we can lose weight in spite of PCOS. This confirms something that I’ve believed for a long time and explains why I always suggest a protein or meat component for every meal. I’ve already written an article on the advantages of Inositol for PCOS (which you can see here).
Let’s take a look at Inositol in conditions of weight loss, though. A report done in Italy with 92 women with PCOS looked at the advantages of Inositol for women with PCOS. 47 of these women were given 4g of Inositol each day with 400mcg Folic acid as the other band of 45 women got the Folic acidity only. After 14 weeks, the women taking Folic and Inositol acid solution showed significant weight reduction, as well as improvements in their metabolic markers. The folic acid group gained weight instead of losing it. I firmly believe that Inositol was type in improving my fertility to help me conceive.
I also feel that it helps to control my carb craving. I personally choose to take the natural powder form as the tablets tend to be fairly low dose and you also land up taking 8-10 capsules per day. I use Jarrow Formulas Inositol Powder, 227g, which is available from Amazon. This seems pretty apparent one and makes sense to a lot of us. But, how much should we be restricting our calories to?
That’s a really difficult question to answer since it really depends on your current weight, your basal metabolic process and your activity levels. One study done with overweight women suggests that an eating plan of 1200-1500 calories per day (3, 4). It’s important to note that many of the women involved in the scholarly research were obese. You would probably need to boost your calories if you’re exercising and leading a more active lifestyle. Making any type of lifestyle changes is difficult and we often need the support of these around us. The one person you may not think of providing support is your doctor. You might want to consider approaching your physician for help.
One study discovered that women who acquired regular 6 monthly appointments using their doctor could actually lose more excess weight than those who didn’t. There are also many other types of support to keep you accountable and encourage you on your weight loss journey, from discussion boards and support groups to weekly weigh ins. If you do feel just like you will need some help with weight loss as well as nutritional advice, PCOS Diet Support offers weekly diet plans and a network to give you every one of the help that you’ll require.
